Mia's Baby Pool

Before you judge me for being "that girl who buys her dog a baby pool" hear me out... It is hot here. Upper 90s and over 100 lately. Mia loves to go outside but it's just so hot! Ronnie cant be in the sun a lot because of his burns and I would rather see it snow, so we figured a baby pool on the shady back porch would be a good solution.

Mia however, didn't quite know what to think...
She just kind of stared at the water a bit puzzled...Then wanted out...But she liked the toys...And most of all the towel...

*Sigh* Guess you cant win them all...

Moving Right Along

Ronnie has always loved to drive. Because of his injuries and medications, he has not been able to drive; until now. Ronnie passed his driving simulation test at the Center for the Intrepid and was cleared to drive depending on where he is in his med cycle. It was neat for me (as a pre-OT) to see how the therapist tested Ronnie's reflexes, mental perceptions, and muscle ability using tests and and a huge driving simulator complete with surrounding screens and real truck.

Cooking Again!

We are finally getting settled into our little apartment now that the majority of the boxes are unpacked and I am happily organized, at least in the daily life things. I would have to say that I love having a kitchen most of all. I love being able to cook finally!

Cheesy Chicken- My favorite!
Pumpkin Bread

Moving Daze

I made a quick trip to Indy at the beginning of June to oversee the moving crew sent to pack up all of our stuff from the Condo. It was nice to not be the one doing all the packing and heavy lifting for once! The moving crew did a great job and after just one day of packing, everything was loaded into a semi and headed for SA and I could just relax with my family :)

We tried to make the most of our short but sweet time together with all five of us in the same state. Dad took us girls to the range do do some shooting with Cori's new bow. And we all went downtown to Massachusetts Ave to do some shopping and cupcake sampling. So fun.

Happy Father's Day!

I have the best Daddy in the whole world. He is patient and kind and so much fun. I remember working on his dune-buggy with him when I was little... Okay more like he worked on it and I pretended to drive it, but it was still fun. I remember sitting on the top of the shed "helping" to put on the shingles. I remember riding my first roller coaster with Dad sitting right next to me. I remember learning to drive stick-shift in Honduras on the dirt roads of Balfate. I have so many great memories with my Dad. He is simply the best and I am so blessed to have him. :)
